Gerry is an eccentric, self-made billionaire who likes to jump head first into crazy ass projects and is often only saved from losing money by his personal assistant NG (short for “Numbers Guy”). Initially, he was quite pissed when the BAYC publicly released his membership photo because Gerry didn’t read the fine print and actually was slightly intoxicated by slurping too much banana milk beforehand (he also confused “boring” with “dumbfounded” when choosing outfit and facial expression). But he decided to roll with it since no one will actually ever recognize him because of the sun glasses.
Since one of Gerry’s hobbies is exploring rabbit holes, he may or may not entertain conspiracy theories and various fringy topics such as time travel, immortality, super AIs, aliens and space exploration. His tendency to talk first and think later caused some “problems” in the past and as a result, the board of directors of his company (aka “the old f*cks”) unanimously voted for the removal of Gerry’s social media profiles. Only PR-trained NG is allowed to post stuff about Gerry on social media, but nonetheless there are some persistent rumors that Gerry is behind a few high-profile Twitter accounts within the crypto community.
A few years ago Gerry founded a secret society called The Order of the Golden Yacht. Since owning a golden yacht was a requirement to join The Order, Gerry was the only member for a very long time. When learning about OGY, Gerry’s personal assistant NG (Numbers Guy) lobbied hard for months to relax the requirements, because “having a secret club that nobody can join is donkey shit”.
Gerry finally gave in and accepted the proposal to extend the membership number to 500.
The membership is free and comes with a unique OGY badge (ERC-721 token) that
can be minted was mintable here on a first-come-first-serve basis. Minting
is was limited to 1 per wallet.
